WORLD PREMIERE

We are celebrating the festival’s 5th year with the world premiere of Artistic Director Tanya White’s  full length play  LEMON YELLOW KITCHEN. A Santa Monica family is literally haunted by a past they are unaware of until it threatens to take their home. Suddenly their comfort and confidence is shattered as they face each other and the ghosts who bring the truth to their front door.  This powerful reading, in development, will be followed by the SMRT talk-back, moderated by American historian and academic  Robin D. G. Kelly.

BE A PART OF THE SHOW

Santa Monica Rep is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture. Additional support also provided by the City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs and by Individual Donors

SMRT is collecting and archiving stories of Santa Monica told by Santa Monicans. We are gathering memories, impressions, anecdotes, jokes, essays, in short....STORIES!  Everyone and anyone who's lived or worked in Santa Monica is welcome and encouraged to share a story.
